RAPE KITS AREN'T M.E.'s DECISION

*****ATTENTION TO ALL PARENTS, HUSBANDS, AND WOMEN*****

WELCOME TO MORE AMERICAN POLICE INSANITY

A RAPE KIT IS ONLY DONE BY A CITY'S MEDICAL EXAMINER ON A DECEASED FEMALE VICTIM IF ORDERED BY THE POLICE.....

YES YOU READ THAT CORRECTLY....IF IT IS ORDERED BY THE P-O-L-I-C-E?????

WHY IN THE HELL IS A RAPE KIT NOT STANDARD PROCEDURE ON A DECEASED FEMALE VICTIM FOUND IN STRANGE CIRCUMSTANCES?

A COTTON SWAB, A GLASS SLIDE CERTAINLY DOES NOT COST THAT MUCH!

I AM SICK AND TIRED OF EXCUSES....IN MY PAST EMPLOYMENT HAD I DONE MY JOB IN THE MANNER I HAVE SEEN SOME INVESTIGATIONS DONE I WOULD HAVE BEEN TERMINATED!

A RAPE KIT SHOULD BE ORDERED AS S-T-A-N-D-A-R-D PROCEDURE!

The Death No One Cares About

http://articles.philly.com/2014-04-11/news/49035184_1_death-services-christina-philadelphia-medical-examiner#cPRrSrhDSE7COYxk.01

The above link will take you to the horrific story about the death in Phildelphia of Ms. Christina Sankey.

I can honestly say that I have seen and heard many twisted stories since my son, Justin's, murder but reading this story about Ms, Christina Sankey broke my heart. The circumstances, the lack of investigation, the lack of due diligence on the part of the Philly police is unconscionable and cruel.

I am appalled Christina's mother must endure her daughters horrible death and the incredulous cruelty of society. Sadly this is happening in Police depts as they seem more determined to say the victim caused their own murder or they died due to their own fault rather than ACTUALLY perform AN INVESTIGATION!

I wish I had a job and got paid to just make assumptions or actually just make SHIT UP and go with it and tell the Survivors they are the LIARS!

Christina is a HUMAN BEING and deserves respect, dignity and honor!  Her mother is beside her self she misses her daughter and worries that her death is all her doing.

Ms. Sankey is mentally challenged with the mental capacity of a 2 year old; she had to have been taken or lead away.

I will keep Christina's mother and sister in my prayers and I will call Philly tomorrow and tell them their problem; INCOMPETENCY!

God bless you Child of God FLY to HEAVEN, be at peace.

Justin's [I wish you had never gone to the store with your caregiver] momma

Something is most suspicious about a caregiver losing sight of Ms. Sankey; why did her caregiver take her to a department store?   Something is rotten in Philly.

My Hand In Your Hand Son

My most favorite memory of a Justin consistent 'gesture of love' through my eyes:

I love Justin with what remains of my heart, as you all know, so very much. So much that many times I do not speak of my wonderful gift from God in past tense simply because I feel Justin's presence with me all of the time. It is fine with me if you believe or disbelieve my statement; I know what I have seen and felt since Justin's death and these moments have been moving, unexplainable and undeniable!

When Justin was a baby I marveled at how tiny [6 lbs 71/2 ozs] yet perfectly shaped and beautiful he was. As a toddler I found it amazing how soft his skin was especially his hands when he firmly took hold of mine when crossing the street or for other reasons which required his safety. He touched my face so gently, caressing my cheek and telling me how soft my face felt; no softer than his tiny hand against my skin felt!

So many times throughout each year he would occasionally stop me, ask me to hold up my right hand, lay his hand against mine and check to see if his hand was growing! This occurred so many times year after years and yes Justin's hand grew and grew. Then one fateful day Justin held his hand up to mine and our hands were finally the same size.

Justin's hand 1992 4 years old day care in Charlotte, NC

Justin was overjoyed with excitement; yet for me his excitement was bittersweet. For as his mother I knew another chapter had ended and Justin would soon no longer be a child.

Even though this change was inevitable and coming too quickly from elementary school all the way through Justin's junior year in high school I would wait for him outside the school every afternoon. Justin sauntered unhurriedly to the Durango, opened the rear passenger door, tossed in his 190 lb. book bag, slammed the door, opened the front passenger door, jumped in, smiled that beautiful 'DeSha' smile and would say "how you been doin' today momma?" Then he'd lay his left forearm on the center arm rest, palm up, and I would lay my right hand, palm down in his hand, and this is how we drove home every day discussing the days events. [I KID YOU NOT] This is one of my many most wondrous of so many joyous Justin memories!

I miss my son because we truly had a special bond. All parents have special bonds yet Justin's bond gave me my first sense of completeness. My bond with Justin, my son, is like no bond I had ever had with another human being. As I have said on numerous occasions; "I gave Justin my whole heart and he never hurt it; not even ONCE!"

I love you and miss you and no one can take your place my bunny boy...your [devoted and proud] momma

A Valentine from My Son In Heaven

A Valentine from My Son In Heaven

I know the attached photograph of space was downloaded onto this computer by my son Justin.  Currently [I am using Justin's computer]. I have been using Justin's computer since mine 'bit the dust' about 8 months ago.

Last night, February 15, 2014, this photograph suddenly appeared on the desktop! I personally [haven't seen this photograph the entire 8 months]?

Pardon me if I prefer to revel in the fact that this beautiful creation of gas and debris [in my eyes] resembles a heart, the coloring is beautifully tinted pink and only one day has passed since Valentines...

Happy Heavenly Valentine's Baby~I love and miss you honey, Justin's [wistful] momma

CORRECTION!!!!

When I typed "I know this is something Justin put on here..." I hope the readers understood I meant he downloaded the photo of space on his computer prior to his passing! I do not believe Justin downloaded this photo last night! I'm not that far 'out there' yet!

It was just such a coincidence to see this phenomenal photograph for the first time last night!  Seriously, to my eyes I see a heart [probably because I want to so badly] and probably because Valentines day just passed for the FOURTH time with me hear nothing from my beautiful son...no matter what the reason...I still see a heart and I feel love.

What ever the reason, even if it is just coincidence, I appreciate the beauty of this particular grouping of dust, gases and debris somewhere way out there in the universe that made me gasp in awe, my heart swell and feel love still from my son in Heaven, Justin DeSha-Overcash.

Meet One of My Many Son's From Another Mother

Will, one of my son, Justin's, best friends from PA, came through Asheville on his way to FL to visit his grandparents.  We spent Saturday in downtown Asheville.  Everyone knows 'If your not weird then you're not weird enough for Asheville' or so the bumper sticker says!

There were the usual street musicians and artists.  Will was amazed; he asked if they paid to be there.  I told him no they just set up where ever they felt the urge and 'did their thing'.  He was especially interested in a young man playing a dulcimer as he had never seen this instrument.  As I do with all visitors who come to Asheville I made him take a photo by the Iron monument.

We enjoyed a leisurely late lunch in one of Asheville's many great eateries and then Will treated me to a tour of the art museum and we were lucky enough to get a free treat to roam through the rock museum because it was after 4 PM!

At sunset we went to Justin's grave site and hung out with Justin as we took in the beauty of the Smokey Moutains.  We shared stories about Justin and we laughed and we cried.  Before we left Will knelt at his brothers grave and said a silent prayer for my beautiful son.

Will's time in Asheville was a most wonderful surprise and memory!!

I love you Will, my son from another mother, thank you for lunch and for treating me to the museum tour!! I know I talked too much but you were most kind and patient!

I am OC'S momma [Justin's nickname in PA is OC for Overcash]

Will left me a surprise message!

Time Does Not Heal a Mother's Heart

Yesterday July 11, 2013 marked two years and six months since Justin went home. My physical pain, my grief, my sorrow, my bereavement, my inexpressible need to hold my child in my arms is NOT lessened. I have no inclination why [anyone] would even think, let alone speak words, pursuant to my pain lessening over time. JUSTIN IS MY CHILD; not my pet, not my wallet, not a tangible piece of memorabilia......JUSTIN was to be my Family's LEGACY. He would have married and produced children to carry on his legacy. So for those who believe I can [or anyone can] in any way recover; I pray this horrible nightmare NEVER happen to your child. Just TRY to put yourself in the shoes of PARENTS OF MURDERED CHILDREN. I remain Justin's loving, pained, walking dead momma. I love you my beautiful son from now throughout eternity.

Daily Life Weighs Heavily Upon My Heart

Sweet Cali you will be missed; thank you for your kind devotion to me.~2012
My beautiful son, Justin, holding Luke while Sandi [Chihuahua] looks annoyed and jealous~ 2005!

This became a traumatic day when I found an article about the UMd tragedy, that occurred last week, and the idiot [reporter] who penned the article 'trashed' Justin. I went 'off the deep end' [to say the least] and began sending emails; finally I was able to speak with a young woman...well I did not really [speak] I was screaming, screeching, crying and cursing like a crazed woman who LOST all control. How can people be so cruel and callous? My SON IS DEAD for God's sake LEAVE HIM ALONE, LET HIM BE. I am sick and tired of fabricated scenarios; why are some people so much more interested in LIES than THE TRUTH! LIFE is not a F**KING SOAP OPERA! My nerves needed all of this like I need a DAMN HOLE IN MY HEAD!

To make matters more complicated I had to finally face the reality, our Chihuahua, Paco Sanchez III [aka Sandi] is more than ready to cross the "Rainbow Bridge"; we always want to hold on [well I do anyway]. I have never understood why our precious pets cannot live longer lives. So I sat down and made the call to arrange [a day] I have dreaded every day for the past 6 months. A very nice lady answered the phone and graciously listened to me explain the reason for my call. She was so patient and understanding and after a short pause she said, "You can come in the morning." My heart began to pound and I blurted, "No! Not tomorrow!" Why? Because I wanted to hold on just a little longer. A decision was made that I would bring my precious Sanman [my nickname for him] at 5 PM on Friday. I hung up the phone, still crying, with what remains of my heart aching; but I cannot allow my dear buddy to suffer any longer. I resigned myself to the reality that at 5 PM this coming Friday Sanman would leave me to be with Justin.

All of this wore me down emotionally and I laid down on the bed around 7:30 PM this evening and had every intention of just laying there for a minute or two; I must have fallen into a deep sleep. I was jolted so abruptly, by the sound of one of my cats literally screaming, I thought it was morning. I jumped out of the bed and ran toward the screaming only to find Cali [my rescue Calico] in the hallway in great distress. As I picked her up she passed away before could even stand up with her in my arms. I sat down on the sofa holding her, rocking back and forth trying to administer CPR. When I realized my actions were moot I began to scream and cry; I am so tired of death. I've been outside for the past hour digging her grave even though I cannot bring myself to put her in there tonight. I know I'm an idiot, I know she's gone; but what if.....everything is prepared and she will be laid to her gentle rest in the morning.

It was when I came back in from digging sweet Cali's grave I knew that I have to take Sanman tomorrow so he can finally be free to move on, too. Sandi is my final connection with Justin so yes it is very hard to let go; but I must for Sanman's sake.

"Life is hard; dying is easy."

I remain Justin's sad and broken momma ♥

Good bye my sweet, sweet Cali, I will miss you greatly.

Bereavement isn't a condition that clears up

A poem written by a bereaved ~Unknown~mother who lost her child too soon!  I would like to share her words with all the mothers who have lost their beautiful children; she knows [all too well] how we feel and what we endure from people who mean well but all they really need to say is, "I'm sorry."  I remain Justin's devoted, loving, sad and confused momma ♥

Please, don't ask me if I'm over it yet

I'll never get over it

Please, don't tell me he's in a better place

He's not here with me

Please, don't say at least he isn't suffering
I haven't come to terms with why he had to suffer at all

Please, don't tell me you know how I feel
Unless you have lost a child

Please, don't ask me if I feel better
Bereavement isn't a condition that clears up

Please, don't tell me you had him for so many years
What year would you chose for your child to die?

  • Please, don't tell me God never gives more than we can bear
  • Please, just say you are sorry
  • Please, just say you remember my child
  • Please, just let me talk about my child
  • Please mention my child's name
  • Please, just let me cry.

The mis handling of Annie McCann's case

Hello everyone;

If you are not familiar with the case surrounding 16 year old VA resident Annie McCann found dead in a Baltimore City alley behind a dumpster. This beautiful young woman who had only received her driver's license three weeks before her body was discovered behind the dumpster. The mystery surrounding this sweet sixteen's sudden demise has left many with questions. The only folks not asking or answering any questions is the Baltimore City Police; immediately claiming Annie's death was a suicide. Even when her vehicle was discovered blocks away with fingerprints of a known carjacker; he claimed he came upon the car and found what he thought was a mannequin and tossed it behind the dumpster. Even when this known carjacker killed a 26 year old woman and took her car he still remains of no interest to the Baltimore City Police in Annie McCann's death. The lack of interest for victims on the part of the police is becoming a national issue. Finding it simpler in blaming the victim for causing their own death allows the police to ignore investigating MURDERS>

Five arduous months without your presence...

Dear Justin;

Today you have been physically missing from our lives for five extremely long and emotionally charged months honey. Odd how just a short year ago we were on the phone constantly; remember babe your broken tooth our major conversation topic. I felt your pain and was so helpless then in my attempts to offer you solace. Then it was just your tooth and now in light of all that has occurred this was so insignificant but we could not see this at the time. With great certainty I can say had we a glimpse of what the future held we would have been more concerned with the time we had left. But life is strange like this....what we see or feel as inconceivable in one moment of our lives can quickly be surmounted by a more significantly devastating moment. Thank you for being such a wonderfully loving and caring son.

I WANT MY SON BACK.
