Annie McCann; such a tragic loss of a beautiful and gentle soul before she ever had the opportunity to blossom. To leave Annie's murder uninvestigated and unsolved is more than just heinous and callous it is truly unconscionable.
On November 2, 2008 16 year old beloved daughter of Dan and Mary Jane McCann from Alexandria, VA., Annie McCann's, lifeless body was found in Perkins Homes, behind a dumpster, in Southeast Baltimore City. Since learning of their precious Annie's horrific murder the McCann's have pushed on tirelessly disbelieving Annie will never come home, hug or kiss them again on this planet. They will never see Annie graduate high school nor wave good bye when they must leave her on the first day of college. They won't see her receive her college degree, meet her true love, marry and give them grandchildren to spoil and love.
The McCann's have sought the truth behind the BCPDs unrelated and irrelevant evidence for five years. The BCPD's unfounded accusations have been in contradiction with the Baltimore M.E. who signed off on young Miss McCann's autopsies cause of death as: UNDETERMINED. In my opinion this remains a 'COLD CASE'! Not a SUICIDE as the BCPD would like to spread in the form of propaganda throughout the community solely based on assumptions. The M.E. did not determine Annie's cause of death as suicide. My question to the BCPD is; when did they become licensed M.E.s?
They [BCPD] continue to attempt to block Annie's loved ones ability to understand their [BPCD] logic and decisions and have never been truly forthcoming with any real evidence. There by disallowing a logical being the ability to come to any rational determination using anything but an assumed scenario where one is to believe there to be only one conclusion? No in fact; there is NOT only one conclusion. Many of Annie's organs were lost, a rape kit was NEVER performed, the McCann's questions and demands to know what happened to their Annie have been blocked at every turn?
Three young men were shooting hoops in Perkins homes when a white Volvo [the McCann's car]was driven up to the dumpster location where Annie's body was later found. The three young men witnessed a Caucasian male, approximately 6' [or taller], with a goatee, wearing a ball cap and a trench coat exit the car and hurriedly walked away. Three hours later the young men approached the car to find all of the doors were unlocked, the keys remained in the ignition and a female [16 year old Annie McCann] lifeless body lay in the backseat. These young men removed Annie's body, placed her behind the dumpster and preceded to go on a 'joy ride' in the McCann's white Volvo. They left the Volvo on Bell Street less than two blocks from Annie's body.
A fingerprint was found on the driver's door to be that of a "known Carjacker". This particular young man is now incarcerated for an attempted car jacking where he murdered the 26 year old next female car owner. Even though this one young man 's prints were found on Annie's car and later he committed murdered during a separate car jacking; after spending so much time speaking with the residents I am 100 % certain that these young men truly saw a man exiting Annie's car the night of November 2, 2013. No resident in Perkins Homes would murder a white child and leave her on their 'turf'; one would think an act such as this would bring down too much heat and unwanted scrutiny on their neighborhood. {Or maybe not in Baltimore City!}
I spent ten hours [April 2013] in Perkins Homes [where Annie McCann's body was found November 2, 2008] speaking with many of the residents who have lived here year in and year out! First, I asked each person if they were living there in November 2008 if they responded, yes; I would ask if they knew about Annie McCann's murder. Each person responded the same way [whether they were female or male], "You're the first person who ever came to ask anything about that poor little white girl!" Why did the BCPD not canvas door to door; the Perkins Homes residents are the best source of information? They [residents] know everything that is going on. The actual network that is within this atmosphere can beat out any technological break through currently on the market today!! Then each person, sometime during the conversation, would inevitable say, "Who every murdered that child dropped her here because the police are doing exactly what they thought they'd do. Nothing!" These folks know the 'game'; they have been here a long time!
I was saddened when one resident confided in me; "We hide in our homes, we don't let our children play outside and you can get killed here just for talking." I was aghast; this is the American dream? American citizens have to actually live like this; so close and tight, I imagined one could even hear the neighbors TV, CD player, snoring and their every word during conversations, too!
In Perkins Homes everyone was so welcoming, so concerned about Annie, they prayed with me, directed me to others who may be of more assistance, introduced me to other residents, allowed me into their homes. By the way; the homes I entered were warm, welcoming, filled with love, Godliness and immaculately clean. These folks, total strangers, truly wanted to help Annie and the McCann's. One woman, with a far off look in her eye, quietly stated, "I saw that child laying behind the dumpster; what struck me and I'll never get out of my mind is how white her socks were. She looked just like an angel. She was clean, her clothes were clean, her hair was clean; that child weren't no junkie or nothin' like that." This Godly woman lost both of her adult children to violent murders. Neither of her grown children's heinous murders have been solved
Annie McCann is a beautiful, intelligent, gentle, artistic, sixteen year old young catholic lady that has been tossed aside like trash by everyone, but her family and friends; without evidence, without an investigation, without testimony and without 'due diligence' on the part of the BCPD. What is this Annie McCann Gate? I asked about the film footage from the many cameras that surround Perkins Homes; talk about 'Big Brother is watching YOU." I was told [all] of the cameras were out that night; an odd coincidence one might say as this was Halloween holiday weekend in the Inner Harbor.
I cannot sit back and allow this to happen; not in America, not to an American, not to a child, not to anyone! Someone knows something; Annie was seen in Little Italy at a local bakery [Vacarrio's] with an unknown woman described by the waitress, who serviced their table [#8], to a retired police artist. Then Annie was seen in the company of this same mysterious woman entering a local night spot ~ [Club Orpheus] on November 2, 2008, later this same night sweet, innocent 16 year old Annie was dead.
