Letter penned to Governor O'Malley of Maryland
Re: "MONEY MEANT FOR CRIME VICTIMS REVERTED TO STATE FUND".
I am the mother of MURDERED UMd COLLEGE PARK SCHOLAR, JUSTIN V.
DeSHA-OVERCASH on JANUARY 11, 2011. MY beautiful son was brutally
murdered in broad daylight, in his home, while simply doing his laundry.
THE MURDERER is a career criminal who was actually wearing an ankle
monitor when he murdered my beautiful son. Justin might still be alive
yet MY SON CHOSE to protect a friend and a roommate from this violent,
cretinous, ARMED, career criminal. Because Justin FORFEITED his life
without question; TWO young men, TWO UMd Students are ALIVE.
As Justin's mother I am saddened greatly over the loss of my son at the
hands of an EVIL criminal who has preyed on Maryland residents since
2007; the beginning of his criminal career.
I am appalled,
Governor O'Malley, with the crime rate in your state. THAT your office
would even consider REVERTING funding from Victims of VIOLENT CRIMES is
unconscionable and a SLAP in THE FACES of ALL VICTIMS/SURVIVORS in
Maryland. The CAREER THUGS running a muck in your state is a horrifying
testament to the NEED for these FUNDS THAT WERE TAKEN; your office
continues to "rub salt" into festering and oozing wounds of bereaved and
grieving families.
Taking funding from Victims/Survivors is
NOT ACCEPTABLE. Governor O'Malley WHY DOES IT APPEAR YOUR STATE is
unable to BALANCE Maryland's BUDGET AND STOP OVER SPENDING?
I AM JUSTIN'S MOMMA and I'M BRINGING MY LAWN CHAIR BACK TO MD!
