A New Angel in Heaven

We will encounter too many moments in our lives when we are left without the ability to understand 'Why?'. Today I received a call from Justin's [brother] Jesse; he called to tell me his beautiful mother, Linda, passed peacefully in her sleep this morning. There is a new Angel in Heaven watching over us.

Linda a two time cancer survivor succumbed to this draining disease. Linda possessed pure love of her family, friends, Ocean City and life. Linda, always happy, smiling, optimistic with a spring in her step; she will remain an inspirational person in my heart and thoughts throughout the remainder of my life. Linda and Jesse lifted me up during the most difficult time of my life and were always present at every hearings seeking justice for Justin. I just saw Linda on April 8, 2013 in Annapolis pursuant to the Special Appeal Hearing; never take for granted the beautiful people who enter your life miraculously [like an angel] to offer strength when yours it all but gone.  I have always felt those whose lights shine so brightly upon this Earth are special and different from us all.  They come to inspire, to teach and to guide then are suddenly gone in the blink of an eye.  I just cannot seem to refer to those who have gone ahead of us in [past tense]; we all love you Linda and this will never change.  Thank you for the bright light you share, the sound advise and caring ear you give so generously to so many in their time of need.
Linda leaves behind her husband Gene and her wonderful sons Jesse and Jordan; please keep Linda's family and friends in your prayers and thoughts during this difficult time.

Front row; Rochelle & [sorry I do not know?]

Below is a copy of the amazing Victim's Impact Statement Linda wrote and read during  my son Justin's, [murderer's] Sentencing Hearing April 2012.  Linda never missed any of the hearing and truly grasped [and more than poignantly expresses] HOW the rippling effects of violent crimes harm far more deeply than just the Victim of Violence families.
